FENG SHUI TREATMENTS FOR 2011
YEAR OF THE GOLDEN RABBIT

FEB. 4, 2011

1. Place a small (live) Bamboo plant (at least 4 stalks) in the NORTH/EASTERN
most portion of your:
home, office, living area.
This treatment is to help improve:
EDUCATION CAREER ROMANCE CLEAR THINKING

2. You will need a metal ‘kalabash’ (Squash) made of brass with a small red ribbon
tied onto it. If you cannot find a metal kalabash, using one made of other materials
will work, or finding a small brass object or figurine that has a rounded
shape (hour glass, figure 8 shape) and tie a red ribbon on it. Place this in the SOUTH most portion of your home, office, living area, bedroom and any room where you spend
a lot of time.

This treatment is to:
HELP AVOID ILLNESS, SICKNESS, INJURY, and STRESSFUL EMOTIONS

3. Place RED objects (vases, candles etc) and a small vase of red flowers (silk is better
than dried flowers) and a pair of protective ‘Kilun’ (unicorns) preferably made
of brass, otherwise a ceramic or porcelain pair is fine.
Place this in the NORTHERN portion of your home, office, living area, bedroom and any room where you spend a lot of time.
This treatment is to:
Help avoid arguments, disagreements, lawsuits and legal disputes.

Protection from others that have ill will against you – Place the pair of Kilun (or a unicorn, dragon, or other protective animal) in the NORTH facing out TOWARDS the NORTH to guard you. This has special importance in the home if there are problems coming towards your family from others, and importance in your work place/work area if there is jealousy or other issues related to your work or career.

4.   You will place a small (juice size), clear glass (real glass, not plastic) in this location and every day for THIRTY DAYS, you will completely refill the glass with fresh water (tap water is fine).
Then for THIRTY DAYS, you will leave the empty glass in place,
Then for THIRTY DAYS, you will again refill the glass each day with fresh water, and continue this cycle for the entire year.

Place this in the SOUTH/WEST most portion of your
home, office, (and home office if you have one).
(if you own your own business, place one in the SOUTH/WEST of your business location as well as in your own office if you have an office inside of your business location and your home office as well)
This treatment is to:
     BRING PROSPERITY INTO YOUR LIFE AND BUSINESS

5.   To me, this is one of the most important treatments of the year, and if I could do only one treatment, this is the one I would do. It is called the SALT CURE, and it is a treatment that you make. Make a NEW ONE each year, DO NOT RE USE old treatments.

Here are the items you will need to make this treatment:

1. a GLASS JAR (Mason jar, large Mayonnaise jar, the jar should
have a wide mouth/top)
2. Coarse Salt (coarse kosher salt is in most grocery stores)
3. 6 copper pennies
4. 1 piece of silver (sterling silver, or a real silver dime)
5.   A piece of 6”X6” (or larger) wax paper or Saran Wrap
6.   A rubber band
7. Water

To make your SALT CURE, you will fill the jar half way full with the coarse salt, then you will finish filling the jar the rest of the way with water (always put the salt in first).
Then you will drop in the 6 copper pennies and 1 piece of silver.
(These should rest on top of the salt.)
Cover the mouth of the jar with the Saran Wrap or wax paper,
and hold it in place with the rubber band. (NO metal twisty ties)
Place this in the EAST CORNER of your
home, office, and the room where you spend most of your time
This treatment is to:
     BLOCK BAD ENERGY of all kinds, poor health, bad thoughts, any type of bad or negative energy
THIS TREATMENT WILL REMAIN IN PLACE FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR, so place it in an area will it will not be disturbed or moved around.

6.   Place Piggy Banks (with Coins inside) and extra coins (6 pieces of copper, brass, or silver money) PLACED AROUND THE OUTSIDE OF THE PIGGY BANK (SET THIS UP SO THE COINS WON'T BE DISTURBED DURING THE YEAR IF POSSIBLE).
Some people like to add Horseshoes or other symbols of good fortune/good luck.

Place this in the SOUTH/WEST CORNER / Section of your home, office, and/or business,   for students, place this in the SOUTH/WEST section of their bedroom or study area.

This treatment is for: additional PROSPERITY, BONUSES, AND BENEFITS.

7.   Place (large) BLUE objects (drapes, table clothes, vases, paint the walls, or hang BLUE pictures/paintings) and a pair of
protective ‘Kilun’ (unicorns) or Lions, preferably made of brass, otherwise a ceramic or porcelain pair is fine.

Place this in the CENTER portion of your home, office, business, and any room where you spend a lot of time.

This treatment is to: Help avoid lawsuits, disagreements, theft, robbery and Jealousy.

8. Place objects made of gold, or gold color in the NORTH/WEST sector of your: home, office, living area. Gold or yellow colored stones are also good in this area. Large pieces of Citrine or orange calcite are also popular. Some people also add a Piggy Bank to this area as well.

This treatment is to help bring in Prosperity, wealth and abundance (remember, abundance doesn’t apply just to money, but to having an abundant and full life as well).

9. This is the final area of treatment for the Feng Shui year. In this area you want to have LIVE broad leafed green plants of any size. You want to have at least one at all times. Water the plant regularly, and if the plant becomes weak or diseased, replace it with a LIVE, HEALTHY PLANT. Some people like to place a bucket of water next to the live plants to help carry the bad san sha away, and empty and refill the bucket periodically as needed with fresh water.

This treatment is to: Help bring in Celebrations, Joy, Happiness and help avoid illness or dis-ease.
That is why the live plants need regular care and attention, and replacement if necessary.

Also, in this area, remove any red objects, or anything with a pointed/triangular/pyramid shape or top to it. This is to reduce the energy of ‘FIRE’ in the area.

Place this in the WEST portion of your home, office, business, and any area/room where you spend a lot of time.

These are the 9 areas of the Bagua to work with in your home, office or business.
There is no need to go out and purchase a lot of items unless you feel like you need to.
Often, you kind find the things/colors/objects you need in other areas of your home, and just move them to the area that is most auspicious for them this year.

In the areas where you are placing ‘Protective’ icons such as Kilun or Lions, put them in the highest possible place in the room, where, as guardians, they have the highest vantage point or view to help them in their ‘job’ of watching over you, and guarding you, your family, business or property.

"Chakra" is a Sanskrit word meaning "wheel", or "wheel of light", pronounced "sha-kra". (Some people say "Shock - Rah")

A simple definition is "any of several points of physical or spiritual energy in the human body".
I will say, once I learned about the energy centers called Chakras, and how our thoughts, emotions and energies can impact our physical health, how our emotional issues can be displayed via blocked or excessive energies from different chakras, it made a lot of sense to me. Learning about these influences, and learning how to BALANCE the energies of all 7 main chakras became an important daily healing tool for me. Becoming involved in energy healing raised my understanding and consciousness of these energy vortexes both for myself and others... I then

Paxton Manor Haunted House Leesburg, VA

Paxton Manor is an old Manor and estate that was donated to the county to help disabled children and their families. This year they did a 'haunted house' to raise funds to help keep the organization going.

My friends that have a paranormal investigation group & I were invited to do a real Haunted House investigation of the mansion. There were some very spooky places there and all types of things happened while we were there and on subsequent evenings.

Best of all, LARC and Paxton Manor raised over $41,000 to help

support their programs for disabled children and their families.

2 years ago, we had not a glimmer of hope in dealing with this devastating disease that was when we found the Georgetown Memory Disorders Clinical Trials and began the process of joining a clinical trial. Now we have some hope, and we want others that are dealing with this disease for themselves or a loved one to have some hope also. Hopelessness and helplessness are two very dark emotions/feelings that can rob you of so much whether you want to let them to or not. Even one spark of hope can re ignite our life and our light.

Without the love, prayers and support of so many, we would NOT be in this place today. Altazar (Rich) is the 2nd human being in the world to have this experimental surgical procedure of Gene Therapy inserted in to the brain to see IF and IF ANY, WHAT, impact it may have on Alzheimer's Disease.

We feel and know that it is the energy of Prayers and Support that put us in this place at this time. This clinical trial is our glimmer of hope!

NBC Washington is also airing a news story about this clinical trial towards the end of November that will air on NBC affiliates around the country as one of their Health segments.

Our next post-surgical follow up with a PET scan, MRI, and other testing will be in December for the 1 year follow up.

New research now shows that symptoms may begin appearing as much as 10 to 20 years earlier than they had originally thought. Also, there is now DNA/Gene testing they can do to see if you carry a gene to indicate the likelihood that you may develop Alzheimer's. The earlier you know, the earlier you can start intervention therapy and treatments. Altazar’s symptoms began in his early/mid 40's and he was FINALLY diagnosed at 52.

They (spirit guides) said there would be several oil leaks and spills and the increased drilling of oil which are causing the Tectonic plates to shift. This will increase volcano and earthquake activity globally, specifically areas touched by the Pacific plates.

Methane gas bubbles arise from the Atlantic and Gulf sea floors 365 days a year and have been proven to cause some of the unexplained disappearances of vessels and airplanes in the Bermuda Triangle area due to the large concentration of Methane gas that bubbles up and causes disruptions.

Serious contamination caused by oil drilling will cause Plate shifting and salt water/oily salt water intrusion into the drinking wells and underground water tables in Florida, all gulf coastal areas and possibly the Atlantic side of Florida as well. Personal wells and drinking water will be contaminated for decades to come.

THE BIGGEST DANGER THEY HAVE SHOWN ME SO FAR (besides the above mentioned issues) is chemical poisoning/cancers/diseases from all of the oil in the water, sand, beaches and food chain.

There was no discussion of Florida being wiped out and I have not been getting any dire feelings or warnings about Florida (being destroyed).

This year is an auspicious one for the dance arbor in beautiful Asheville, NC. They will be having their 20th anniversary Drum Dance started by Grandfather, Joseph Rael, Beautiful Painted Arrow. This is the the same location where he led his last dance the year of his retirement in 1996. It is a beautiful location just east of Asheville, in Swannanoa NC and is being held on Labor Day weekend in September. It starts on Friday and ends on Sunday with a huge feast and sharing.
I have a brochure for the Dance along with Zoe Bryant's contact information if you are feeling drawn to the Dance. Altazar & I will be two of the drummers at the Dance. We have been connected with this Dance and the Land since 1995.
There is also an incredible Peace Chamber on the land (Beautiful Painted Arrow helped to dig the foundation of the Peace Chamber). This particular Chamber is the closest to Beautiful Painted Arrow's original vision. If you feel called to Dance there, you must pre-register with Zoe Bryant to make sure there is space. If you have any questions about the Dance, please contact Zoe Bryant. If you feel drawn to be there as a worker, you must contact Zoe and discuss this with her, and receive her permission to be there. The audience snickered and the judges of "Britain's Got Talent" either rolled their eyes or allowed their blank expressions to betray their bemused skepticism as the awkward-looking middle-aged woman told them she wanted to be as famous as the popular British actress and singer Elaine Paige.Then Susan Boyle began to sing, and they were spellbound and shocked by the beauty of her voice and rose to their feet in applause.But Father Basil Clark, who watched the show on television at his home in Broxburn, Scotland, was not surprised.He has seen the situation unfold many times before, having regularly accompanied Boyle, 47, on the annual Legion of Mary pilgrimage to the Marian shrine in Knock, Ireland.

"When I watched the judges' faces it reminded me of what I was like when I first saw Susan singing -- absolutely blown away by the quality of the singing and by that fantastic voice," said Father Clark, dean of West Lothian, the district that covers Boyle's home village of Blackburn."Anyone who sees her for the first time behaves the same way. Prayers of peace and strength for JONNIE WATERS PHILLIPS, who lost 2 sons (age 36 and 38) in two weeks. Clint (age 36) was working and fell 115 feet off of a tower, 2 weeks later his brother Sam (age 38) died of a heart attack in his sleep, leaving behind a wife and 4 children. Prayers for all of the family members left behind and for the two souls that made their transitions so suddenly.

Pluto in Capricorn (2008 – 2023/24) will make its first retrograde cycle entirely in the sign of Capricorn from April 4 through September 11, 2009, as it reverses from 3/4 degrees to 0/1 degree. This will be the first of 14 Pluto retrograde cycles within Capricorn, signifying our soul’s need for a complete overhaul of our relationships to money, resources, career, self-responsibility, self-determination, parenting and social maturation. This first retrograde cycle will show us where things are not working out in our life along these Capricorn archetypes, and the opportunities for evolution to the depth of our soul.
The purpose of planetary retrograde cycles is to review the past and let it go where necessary. This creates a void in which new ideas, desires, beliefs and actions can come in – if – we do not fill it up with recycling the old for security reasons. Planetary retrogrades are opportunities to rebel. It takes courage to exercise the will and desire nature to move forward into an unknown future. Enter Pluto at its stationary points – retrograde and direct – and deep unconscious beliefs and desires of the soul come to the surface, getting our attention, forcing their way into our consciousness.
When Pluto makes its annual stationary point to reverse geocentric direction for five months, it is easier to recognize those desires of the soul which are not working anymore. We may have exhausted the desire and yet it feels so comfortable that we keep repeating old patterns. We may feel frustrated by desires we cannot as yet seem to manifest, or control, in our lives. We experience soul dissatisfaction in the gazillion ways human consciousness can create it. The themes will run along inner and outer confrontations that clarify our soul’s deepest desires. Which desires are ready for release, as a result of our having exhausted a separating desire? Which new desires are emerging within us, at once silent as a whisper and screaming in our face?
Pluto retrograde through the zodiacal signs shows us the collective soul desires that are up for review and relative to each culture, society and country. Pluto retrograde on the broadest collective levels serves to evolve human consciousness as a species. We are noticing these collective trends on the most personal levels through the Capricorn themes of monetary policies and fiscal self-responsibilities. We are amidst natural contraction cycles within which we must ask ourselves to re-prioritize, to formulate new value references which effectively square any adopted value systems with our actual resource usage.
Hopefully, we will create the awareness, and courage, to revise our monetary supply and fiscal regulations with social systems that work for all classes of citizens, regardless of income. Most modern human history is based upon private central banking systems – the U.S. Federal Reserve is privately owned – which tend to be based upon profits, usually for the owners. Public central banking systems are based upon broader entities – like nations or states – with profits minimized in order to increase goods and services created, in order to support public infrastructure. Amongst the ostensibly ‘United’ States, North Dakota has the only state-chartered bank (owned and run by its government). It is one of only four states which have a balanced budget in 2009, and a surplus in its coffers.
In the case of the United States, the private ownership enterprise known as the Federal Reserve is comprised of almost 3,000 member banks (national and state) who collectively subscribe to stock equal to 6% of their capital, which is then deposited within the 12 Federal Reserve banks. Effectively, manifestly, the largest 10 banks own approximately 70% of the Fed stock.
This is the industry that has been lobbying for–and succeeding in the de-regulation of, its own banking laws ever since the 1980s. Neptune was in Capricorn from 1984-1998 and Uranus moved through Capricorn from 1988-1995. Pluto in Scorpio (1983/84-1995) and Pluto in Sagittarius (1995-2008) have brought money-making schemes (like derivatives, hedge funds, and credit debt swaps) that have crashed as Pluto enters Capricorn. Re-regulation of monetary/banking systems is necessary. What will we get as Pluto goes retrograde in Capricorn?
Banks need to maintain adequate capital reserves while shadow banking techniques and accounting schemes need to become more fully transparent. The lack of adequate regulations has exasperated this economic recession, and it has wildly shook up human consciousness on the most personal of levels: rising unemployment. Our banking systems will be overhauled to the degree which humanity can at once demand equity and accountability and accept and implement social responsibility for the dynamic integration of these principles within its monetary systems as they, too, grow and evolve.
What has emerged with a new U.S. administration up to Pluto’s “change of direction” is no change of direction from the past. If socially-equitable fiscal systems are not implemented then we will repeat the collective cycles (large monetary upsets) until it hurts our pocketbooks hard enough that we pay attention. What the U.S. lacks the courage to do on a national level might come about on a state level through the necessary task of balancing fiscal budgets. The seven waxing squares of Uranus in Aries to Pluto in Capricorn (2012-2015) may bring an uprising of states taking charge of their own banking systems in order to exchange public interest debt for public capital, something which is perfectly legal to do.
Pluto retrograde will reveal these themes to those who are looking. Consensus consciousness will just see one more cycle of victimization, whether from Wall Street or the federal government or both. The archetype of Capricorn is learning how to grow up and socially mature in the world. Most monetary policies are run by consensus souls more invested in short-term selfish interests at the expense of others (exclusive-based social systems) than stable long-term enterprises.
Outer planetary transits through Capricorn always bring about the evolution of social systems, either pro-actively and/or as necessary. We only have to look at the current financial state in the modern world to recognize fiscal changes are absolutely necessary in order to manifest global community. Pluto retrograde is about becoming upset enough, individually and collectively, to create change on broad social levels. Here is the first complete retro cycle in Capricorn to raise the economic themes that need to be addressed over the next 15 years.
The polarity point of Capricorn is Cancer. All of these social upheavals and reforms point to the ability of familial units to survive and flourish. Healthy emotional family units lead to greater social maturation and participation levels and less drain on public systems and coffers. Unhealthy family units lead to more and more social involvement from crime to victimization patterns (immaturity) to lack of participation within society. Healthy inner security (emotional maturation and self-reliance) creates increasing abilities to evolve with social changes.
There is always an evolving interplay between the familial unit and the social unit. How do we abide by social agreements, and yet rebel when social systems have crystallized and no longer serve the greater whole? How do social minorities gain a slice of the reforming collective? Many times the larger the social unit the slower it is to evolve, and therefore it becomes necessary for increasingly intense social upsets. Social systems that support familial bonding and basic needs tend to create healthier societies.
Pluto retrograde in Capricorn will demand that we review our desire nature around money, work and social systems. With the current contracting economic cycles, needs are simplified down to the familial basics like food, clothing and shelter. In the modern world, health care becomes the fourth basic need, and actually functions as a part of food and nutrition. Unhealthy diets contribute to more disease and social decline.
Our current health system in the U.S. is also mostly privately-based, again for profit. The problem is similar to monetary policies – should health care be for-profit based, or a basic societal need? While the U.S. spends almost twice as much on health care per capita compared to the G5 countries (Canada, Japan, Germany, the United Kingdom and France), its citizens receive less in health benefits. Health care in America is an economic drain, taking away resources that could be invested elsewhere in societal needs like crumbling infrastructures in urban areas.
The evolution of both fiscal and healthcare policies will be a balance of social function and individual responsibility. Social groups will be a reflection of the collective beliefs and, therefore, systems supported by such beliefs. While the United States prides itself upon being a Christian nation, its actions (social systems) are more reflective of exclusivity-based beliefs. Perhaps it is time for U.S. beliefs to evolve beyond specific religions toward basic human rights not limited to conforming to a specific belief system, or even belief in a god.
Individually, Pluto in Capricorn behooves us to grow up. Pluto retrograde forces it upon us when necessary. Depression sets in unless we are willing to deeply question cherished beliefs and cultural understandings. Somehow, at the same time we desire more equitable social systems, it is requisite that we take the next self-responsibility step. Government and social systems cannot save us; they are not totally responsible for our unique situation. We are responsible–and acceptance of self-determine-ation allows us to function in social situations and careers, as we at once strive for ever more freedom and autonomy.
It is our personal responsibility (Cancer) to learn management of our resources like money, to determine the difference between a “need” and a “want.” It is our self-responsibility to take care of the temple of our soul – the physical body – through diet, exercise and rest. As those needs are met, we move on to the more subtle emotional reasons behind any health imbalance, and the mental and spiritual reasons behind the emotions.
Within natural law, any government functions on a manifestly social level are based upon compositionally-collective beliefs, Sagittarius followed by Capricorn. Distorted beliefs create distorted social groups and wounded souls. The upheavals belief systems have experienced through Pluto in Sagittarius will now be addressed through Pluto in Capricorn. Do we need religion to feed the children and care for the sick? Might natural spiritual laws and principles show us that the group survives better when it supports its individuals? It increases the chances of then-able-to-mature individuals to support ever better social systems in return.
Pluto retrograde in Capricorn brings on the reality checks. It takes us through re-prioritizing what are the most important needs in order to survive. It reminds us our outer world is only as good as our inner world. It draws us inward to find emotional sustenance and peace. It asks our souls to let go of desires no longer serving us. It brings the opportunities to manifest new desires emerging within our soul. It forces us to mature individually and collectively. The choices are yours–and ours. Go for it.

In the natal chart, Pluto tends to operate even more Plutonian when it is retrograde. It is far more intense, it possesses a higher degree of concentration and it, therefore, gives greater insights into the subconscious. Because of this intensity, the individual can see much more than normally possible and it is easy to become suspicious of the motives of others. The powers of regeneration are far greater when retrograde. People with a natal retrograde Pluto have a tremendous ability to overcome major illnesses that might otherwise cause permanent disability. Remember, retrograde motion is always directed toward inner activity such as the psyche or psychological patterns that affect the physical body. Direct motion, on the other hand, is directed towards external circumstances.

Under any Pluto transit, we feel pressured to eliminate and release the old, outworn, outdated and obsolete in our lives. What to Bring for the Prayer Lodge Ceremony
Men wear bathing trunks or shorts, no shirt. Women traditionally wear a long skirt or long dress with short or long sleeves. The skirt symbolizes the circle, as does the Lodge; so a woman wears a skirt to be in total alignment with the Earth Mother in the Lodge. Suggestions for the day of the Lodge: avoid heavy meals, eat light, drink plenty of water, avoid caffeine (drinks or chocolate) and avoid wearing metal jewelry in the Lodge. Bring a towel, a change of clothes, slip-on shoes and one gallon of distilled water for the Lodge. Please bring a potluck item to share for the Dinner Feast after the Lodge.
What to Bring to the Dance
Tobacco, pink, turquoise and white cloths and string for prayer tie bundles. Juice to share. Tent, sleeping bag, camping supplies for the rest period. Unscented insect repellent. Other than the two community feasts, bring your own food for Saturday & Sunday. Please bring any foods needed for special diets. After Saturday’s Dinner Feast we will utilize the pottery studio for the remainder of the Dance Ceremony. Bring prepared, crock-pot or non-heated potluck foods to share for Sunday morning’s Breakfast Feast.

Clothes for Dance for Ceremony
Men: wear pants and shirt or a sarong. Women: wear a long skirt and blouse or long dress with short or long sleeves. Wear Dancing Regalia if you have it. Suggestion: layers may be helpful.

Medicine Shield
Bring your shield already constructed, and any artwork that symbolizes Peace for our World to be included in your design. The shield of each dancer will be displayed around the Peace Tree. When the Dance is complete, you may add to your shield, creating a powerful visible prayer that represents your Peaceful Awakening. Materials needed for Medicine Shield Mandala:

• One 12" to 16" diameter hoop, either wood or metal
• One pre-cut circle of leather, felt or skin of any color 2" smaller than your hoop
• Eight to 12 leather thongs pre-cut at least 12" long
• Acrylic paints, paintbrushes, feathers, yarn, beads, shells, etc, glue, hand tools and craft materials.

Time comes and goes without a trace; we will celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year on January 26, 2009. We will say "Kung Hay Fat Choy" to everyone we meet and wish them the best in the coming year.
I have made my annual prediction public since 2004; it becomes part of my yearly research and advice for my students and clients from all over the world. People tell me they eagerly await the release of my predictions each year.
The year of the Rat will be replaced by the year of the Ox based on the 12 Chinese zodiac sign sequence. By Chinese custom we will celebrate the New Year on the first day of the year based on the lunar calendar; however in Feng Shui and Bazi we will start the New Year at 00:50 on February 4, 2009 based on the Gregorian calendar.
Every year, it is very nerve wracking for me to write the prediction, sometimes I just hope I do not get it right. I sincerely hope everyone will have a prosperous year with no major setbacks or surprises from my prediction.
Year 2009 is the year of the Ox, Ji Chou year. The yearly hexagram is Guan gua. The annual flying star in the central palace is #9 and #5 in the north. The troublesome San Sha will be in the east for 2009.
Guan gua is the 20th hexagram in the I Ching, Xun trigram on top of Kun trigram; the wind breezes across the Earth and affects everything in its path. The policy from the top will affect those below. A gentle breeze will be comforting, a hurricane will be devastating.
Guan Gua is a hexagram which indicates a downward trend following extreme prosperity. This year, it will be important for government officials to establish trust from the people who are struggling by being respectful, serious, just, honest and compassionate with the people they serve. They must pay attention to their actions and promises, continually reflecting and monitoring the results with assistance from elders, senior staff members and those with the wisdom and knowledge to offer valuable advice.
The teaching of Guan gua is to observe, to look into, to show, to exhibit, to demonstrate with respect and compassion in order to gain others’ trust.
It has been an eventful 2008 with the Si Chuan earthquake, building collapses, worldwide flooding, mudslides, demonstrations, the Beijing Olympics, the US housing meltdown, the record oil prices, the global financial/economic crisis with government bailouts and the US election of Barack Obama as the first African-American president.
2009 should be a year for “change” with a newer generation of world leaders who may be preoccupied with the possible recession we may face worldwide. It will require all world leaders to work together to deal with this crisis or we may plunge into the most devastating depression since the 1930s. From all the economic data today, 2009 certainly looks very grim. Everyone involved in the stock market is asking if we have hit the bottom. Based on my research on the worldwide stock market indices and using Huang Zhi Qing Shi’s monthly hexagrams, I believe we should bottom out around September or October 2009.
Ji Chou is earth over earth. I foresee government infrastructure and social projects which will create jobs for the construction industry and their suppliers.
Oil has been dropping since it reached $147.00 USD per barrel, therefore oil, natural gas, and coal should be a good investment for 2009.
I would recommend investment in the agricultural commodities such as wheat, soybean, fertilizer and farm equipments.
There should be plenty of investment opportunities in a bear market if you know the secret of trading stocks.
2009 will be good financially for those born in the year of the Rat, Ox, Snake and Rooster, as well as those born in Jia or Ji years. Perhaps this will be a good time to buy a house. For those born in the year of the Horse, Sheep or Dog, you may lose money this year or move this year. You also need to pay attention to your parents.
For those born during Zi, Chou, Si and You hours 2009 can be good for career or study. There is also a good possibility of having a baby. For those who are born during Wu, Wei and Xu hours 2009 may be a tough year for career or study. Take a trip if you can.
With San Sha in the east this year, we need to pay attention to the liver, blood circulation and blood pressure. In addition we need to be aware of potential problems with limbs and emotions. Also, pay attention to young males and females.
Extreme care should be exercised if you try to disturb the east. It can bring about tragedies as serious as death and bankruptcy. Be careful if your house door or bedroom is located in the east or faces east. Also if there is any disturbance, outside sharp objects or sha qi coming from the east you should be careful.
To minimize the “San Sha” effect, you can place a real plant or tree in the eastern sector, either inside or outside the house, you can also put a little bucket of water and 3 metal kiluns (facing east) with the tree. (There is a high level Feng Shui technique called “Fighting the San Sha” which can bring in money. Contact us if you need such a service to turn a rock bottom situation around.)
Tai Sui will be in Chou, northeast. Simply placing a pair of kilun in Chou mountain facing northeast may help to guard against the bad energy from that direction.
This year’s annual Flying Star chart will have number 9 in the centre, 1 in the northwest, 2 in the west, 3 in the northeast, 4 in the south, 5 in the north, 6 in the southwest, 7 in the east and 8 in the southeast.
Every home can be a safer home if we know how to deal with the yearly stars and shen sha and avoid doing the wrong thing in the wrong place at the wrong time. It is better to be prepared now than be sorry later.
To minimize the annual 5 yellow in the north, the “salt water and coins” cure can be used.
To minimize the annual 2 black to avoid sickness, simply place a metal calabash in the west of the house.
To minimize the annual 3 jade-green to avoid arguments and being emotional, put something red in the northeast.
To minimize the annual 7 red to avoid lawsuits, put something blue in the east.
The southeast will be the best sector in 2008 with the annual 8 white, simply put a citron crystal there for a better year financially.
Put 4 stalks of Chinese lucky bamboo or a plant in the northwest of the house to enhance the possibility of career advancement, improved academic studies or heightened romance.
Put a glass of water in the south for the possibility of career advancement, improved academic studies or heightened romance.
Putting a plant in the center of the house can bring about events for celebration.
Besides the above precautions for 2009, most people do not realize that disturbances, building, construction and renovation around or inside the house during 2009 without picking a date and time to do it can cause problems. Construction or renovations would be good in the south, southwest, west and northwest.

Wanted to share this with you:
Growing up I remember my family talking about a scripture that would stop bleeding. Of course, my family wasn't the most church-going folks, but they were God-loving, God-fearing Christians. They were also superstitious in saying only a man could read the scripture to a woman and vice versa, which I sincerely doubted. If God put it there, he put it there for our Faith and anyone who truly believed could use it.After I came to this area, I remembered to ask Daddy about that scripture. It is Ezekiel 16:6. (From King James Version:) "And when I passed by thee, and saw thee polluted in thine own blood, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live; yea, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live"I have used it several times over the years saying it with Faith repeating at least 3 times to stop a heavy nosebleed, etc., and always, the bleeding stops. Today Heidi sent me a text message asking for me to share the scripture. Her boyfriend's frail grandmother had a severe nosebleed and they couldn't stop it. Now you know that Heidi is a veterinary technician and she definitely knows how to stop bleeding, (even though Grandma has only 2 legs, not 4)…...but they had no luck and were about to call 911. I texted them my version of the words (from my memory)....to both Heidi and Josh's cell phones, saying pray this with Faith, repeating it at least 3 times and Believe!
5 minutes later, she sent me a text back that the bleeding had completely stopped! Yes, Miracles still happen. That scripture is definitely worth committing to memory. Usually when you need it, it's in a hurry and you don't have time to Google for the scripture, and you don't have to say the words verbatim as long as you have the meaning.

Cherokee Indian youth's rite of Passage

Do you know the legend of the Cherokee Indian youth's rite of Passage?
His father takes him into the forest, blindfolds him and leaves himalone. He is required to sit on a stump the whole night and not removethe blindfold until the rays of the morning sun shine through it. He cannot cry out for help to anyone. Once he survives the night, he is aMAN. He cannot tell the other boys of this experience, because each ladmust come into manhood on his own. The boy is naturally terrified. He can hear all kinds of noises. Wild beasts must surely be all around him. Maybe even some human might do him harm.The wind blew the grass and earth, and shook his stump, but he satstoically, never removing the blindfold. It would be the only way he could become a man!

Finally, after a horrific night the sun appeared and he removed his blindfold. It was then that he discovered his father sitting on thestump next to him. He had been at watch the entire night, protecting his son from harm.

People sharing dreams support and build community. Everyone dreams and it is easy to begin remembering dreams, if you are interested. Since dreams impart truth on many levels, both personal and social, sharing them helps us understand evolving situations and personal growth.

If you have recent dreams you would like to share please feel free to join any bi-monthly meeting in Sterling Virginia held on Tuesday nights twice each month.
We meet from 7:30 to 9:30 PM.
A potluck dinner happens beforehand at 7 PM for anyone who wants to share food and socialize. We ask people to let us know if they are coming.
Building Connection
As we meet and get to know each other well, we will consider what community projects we'd like to do and this too is a part of indigenous tradition. Linking dreams to community service is analogous to raising a windmill to the wind for power. If you have ever felt that change in society is something you want and can't have, this is the way to get it –with connection and trust.

The letter is a hoax at best, and worse, it appears to be someone

It does this every year out there. On parts of Navajo it also gets that way. Some parts of navajo are 6000+ feet up. People will be stuck for weeks with out a way to drive on a road.Most of them are prepared for this I find a one storm producing the results outlined in the email. Hard to believe, but it is that time of year already! We have begun the collection of holiday gifts and donations for the children & elders of The Standing Rock Reservation in North Dakota. As always, our donations will be shipped directly to The Church of The Tipi Wakan (House of Blessings) for distribution to everyone in the entire community. MY 2¢ worth...This past Sunday I was in a very interesting astrology seminar wherein this noted professional did an analysis of WHAT THE UNIVERSE IS SENDING by way of planetary and constellation energies for the next millennium. And what lies IMMEDIATELY BEFORE US in this regard. For those of us who believe that the universe is spirit and energy and that it shows us the direction we are to take by combining energies that create a consciousness we MUST deal with, for weal or woe, this should have been "required reading." One of her methods is to go back to the last cycle that is as close as possible to present and future planetary configurations. Repeatedly, in doing this, she proved that she knows what she's talking about. THE AQUARIAN REVOLUTIONThe last time we saw Pluto in Capricorn, 250 years ago (July 1762-July 1776) we had the growing New World independence ending up as the American Revolution. There is now a strong bubbling up from the unconscious of a desire for radical change.She clearly said that our capitalistic system is eroding and transforming; we are entering the time when that change will incorporate the notion that we must be our brothers' and sisters' keepers, and vice-versa; when a form of socialism WILL and IS emerging NOW. Since that word is such a silly bugaboo for Republicans who somehow don't know that "To him to whom much is given, much is expected", them's fighting words... We will see MORE AND MORE of problems UNTIL we get the message: CHANGE!!! Change RIGHTLY, or else.... So we have a choice. Voluntarily change for the better, or pay the piper for not doing so. Want to suffer MORE or LESS? Move into a better phase sooner, or draw it out longer and suffer more? That's our only choice."Crusades" and war will be discredited and shown that it cannot accomplish what people think. For one thing "enemies" simply reincarnate! Change of heart and methods for helping that occur will be more common.Since 1990 kids born are "color proof", in the main. They don't see or react to racial differences unless indoctrinated intentionally by parents, their social or religious group. Perhaps the MAIN planetary "actors" are Saturn and Uranus in opposition to each other, which has been gradually coming to the fore and the big economic crash we are (and will continue to) experiencing is part of the "clash of the titans" that these powerful planets are bringing. They will come into full and direct opposition several times in the next couple of years, but the FIRST time will be ELECTION DAY, Nov. 4, 2008. This will portend a huge shift/change -- different sorts, depending on who is elected... Rather it might portend HOW the change will be carried out, again, as to what kind of trauma we will experience: TRANSFORMATIVE or DESTRUCTIVE.Jupiter, the planet of BIG HAPPENINGS and Pluto in Capricorn, breaks up authority or the established order of things, are the other major players.Saturn (which governs institutions and is the cosmic "taskmaster) in Virgo and Uranus in Pisces in OPPOSITION are bringing about the same energies we saw in the '60s... Virgo governs SERVICE SYSTEMS, like hospitals, health workers, education. What's wrong in these sectors have been and will continue to be brought to light. A national healthcare plan is likely.In 2009 Saturn in Libra, Uranus in Pisces, and Neptune in Aquarius will bring to light corruption in our Supreme Court, who has not been above taking bribes and ideologically manipulating decisions to match THEIR ideas. Ideas about "proper" relationships, laws governing divorce, marriage are already starting to shift and will liberalize, partly thru new decisions made by courts, as well as in public opinion.In addition to this overview of "where we are going", she also analyzed the charts of Obama, McCain and Palin (she didn't have time for Biden). I was stunned, absolutely STUNNED, at what's there! BTW, she also promised that she was just reading energies, not taking a political stance per se. Truth is truth and that's her modus operandi.She referred to OBAMA's chart as a sort of "solar avatar" configuration, a representative of Oneness consciousness. A sort of "handing over the keys" to a "new kingdom" is represented in his chart for his chart shows leadership into a complete separation from existing systems. For the better. His is a classic chart for one that could be referred to, as the Egyptians did, as a "sun god". It shows wisdom and love, a magnetic/charismatic personality, bringer of light, awareness, consciousness of a new, higher sort. This is a sort of "lord of the dance" configuration, whereby he can lead us in the dance of change in an inspired and inspiring way. Next year his chart predicts a sort of "solar initiation", an awakening from within that will guide him steadfastly and make him his own man, resisting those who want to do things the wrong way. There is a strong element of self-sacrifice, that could take many forms... Sacrifice = "wise elimination" of that which is not of the highest good for all... it means a change of perception whereby the old view must give way, even painfully, to a new one. He has a desire to shine, to lead, sharing himself, even at great personal cost to himself: again, self-sacrifice.MCCAIN's chart clearly shows the waffling he's done throughout his campaign: Libra ascendant. It affects his attitude, as does the constant pain he's in. He is dogged, never-say-die, even when he should! Too stubborn and small-minded. He has addiction DNA; his father (I think it was) was alcoholic, and he may be dependent on pain medication, at the very least. Will PUSH himself just to prove himself (to his lineage, his father and grandfather). He's going to fight and "overcome" no matter the cost to himself, others, the nation. His patriotism is about ego rather than real heart and love for the country. His unpredictability is not good for the leadership role he aspires to.PALIN's chart, in brief, shows combustible energy: she makes wrong decisions, as many times as not, to be liked, to please. She is all facade and very masked. What the public sees is not really her... She is terribly unprepared to be vice-president, let alone president, which, if elected she WILL become because of McCain's age and health. She would be a public figurehead only if this happens.She went on to talk about how America, as a beacon of spiritual light and leadership, has faded and nations no longer look to us for hope, inspiration, or as a nation to even look up to. We have betrayed so many countries and peoples, can't keep our contracts and commitments like we should, in so many instances. Like lying and treaty-breaking with our native peoples, with Mexico in past centuries, like CIA subterfuge behind the scenes so that even American citizens don't know the harm we've done to Spirit and people in a self-serving way, etc. So we need to clean up our act. Tomorrow, on the "Oprah" show, I’ll be making the case to millions of people across the country in support of a campaign that, if successful, will end the cruel confinement of 20 million farm animals.

It's called Proposition 2, a measure on the ballot in California that The New York Times endorsed last week. Prop 2 will end the practice of cramming farm animals into cages and crates so small the animals can’t even turn around, lie down, or extend their limbs. If passed, it will be the biggest victory for farm animals in U.S. history.

Prop 2 is truly a national campaign: While only Californians get to vote on it, its passage will lead to reforms in farming practices nationwide.

But standing in the way is Big Agribusiness, which has poured millions of dollars into a deceptive campaign to defeat Prop 2 and preserve factory farms' cruel confinement practices. The next 21 days before the election will be pivotal -- and we can't win without you. Here’s the latest news, and a few ways you can help:

PREDICTION: PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION 2008 BARACK OBAMA OR JOHN MCCAIN?

The energy of the 2008 elections has fluctuated so much
over the past several months, and honestly for 2 years it has
been seen that Hillary Clinton was to be elected as the next president of the United Sates (POTUS). Of course, the democratic
nomination did not go to her, and instead went to Barack Obama.

Today, September 22, 2008, I "saw" a newspaper
headline with a picture of Barack Obama on
the cover, announcing he had won the 2008
presidential election. I believe at this time, that is the
headline that we will be seeing in November - Barack Obama
wins the presidential election.

After Hilary did NOT get the nomination, I meditated on WHY
Barack was moved to the forefront. The message that I got, was
that with his mixed heritage, and his 'Muslim sounding' name, it
would actually help the image of the United States with the populaces
of the middle eastern nations. How? Many of the general populations
in these countries have been raised to believe that people in the west,
The US and Britain especially, hate the Muslim nations. By the election
of a man with a name and background that they may find somewhat
relatable - they may begin to realize that the west does NOT HATE
THE MUSLIM WORLD. A good step towards peace.
I am not talking about the leaders of these countries, but rather the
populace that has been led for decades to believe that all Muslims
around the world are hated by the western (non-Muslim) nations.

I always believe God has a greater plan - unless man substantially interferes
as happened in the 2000 and 2004 elections. Water under the bridge, we
have to deal with the hand we were dealt (by election fraud).
It was seen for years that Al Gore was to be elected president of the United States, in the 2000 election, and that he would also win again the 2004 election (as sitting president), and by popular election - HE DID WIN in 2000!
We would not be in the military position we are in now if he had been elected, and I feel that 9-11 would NOT have happened if he had become (rightfully) President of the United States.
He has however, like Jimmy Carter, used his life to continue to help not
only the US, but the world by taking on the issue of the global environment.
Truly a great soul. In the long run, like former President Jimmy Carter,
he will probably have a far greater and reaching impact on the good of the
world by not being bound by the office of President of the United States.
A great example of turning lemons into not only lemonade - but lemon
meringue pie! (one of my favorite sayings from spirit)

For the 2008 elections, may we visualize fairness, honesty, end of corruption,
end of vote manipulation, and a return to higher ethics and standards, and
that the next president of the United States SURROUNDS himself (or herself)
with the highest possible group of advisors, counselors and cabinet members for
the good of the US, and the rest of the global community.

Throughout history, human beings have quested to realize the meaning and purpose of life. For countless generations, people have been asking the same questions; Who am I? Why am I here? It’s as if we have forgotten our true essence and have fallen into a deep sleep. Once in a great while an enlightened being comes amongst us to illuminate the truth and nudge us in our awakening. In 1938 during the dark of the moon on the auspicious day of Deepawli, the festival celebrating the light returning, Swami Parmanandji was born. After becoming a Saint and Guru, Swami Parmanand Maharaj did not retreat into the Himalayas but instead entered into society to share the gifts of his experiential knowledge. He chose the path of a Karma Yogi and dedicated his life for the welfare of humanity.

Today, his full title is, Yug Purush Acharya Mandeleswhar Swami Parmanandji. He is notably being honored and recognized as the Saint of this era. In Celebration of the 50th anniversary of his Sainthood, hundreds of thousands of devotees recently came from around the globe, to this tiny remote village to pay tribute to this great teacher. The New Moon on May 5 also occurs in Taurus, the sign of the Bull, to bring our attention to material matters and financial concerns. This is an excellent time to begin saving or a conservation project of some kind. Mayan Calendar Prophecies for the Year 2012

MAYAN PROPHECIES BASED ON THE MAYAN CALENDAR

Everyone hears about the different prophecies on how humanity will end. From the Bible predictions of the rapture and the Antichrist, to Nostradamus's prediction of the Planet Comet, people hear theories and see evidence of our civilization coming to an end. However, the most striking of these prophecies lies in the predictions of an ancient, but highly sophisticated Mayan calendar. The deciphering and understanding of the calendar is whole other story in it's own, so I'll get straight to the point. The Mayan calendar is actually a combination of 3 calendars. The religious calendar, the solar calendar, and the Long Count. For the sake of this discussion, I wont get into detail about the whole calendar and just stick to the Long Count. The Long Count can record any day in history because it is supposedly the measure of days from the beginning of humanity to the end.

The number system used for the Long Count is completely different than our decimal, 10 based number system. Instead, the Mayans used 5 sets of numbers separated with a decimal. A typical Long Count number would look like this:
12.15.14.16.14

The first day of the Long Count is labeled 0.0.0.0.1 which is the equivalent to August 11th, 3114 BC. on our current Gregorian Calendar. The Long Count calendar ends at 12.19.19.17.20 which is the equivalent to December 21, 2012. Now this doesn't necessarily mean that humanity will come to an end on this date, but it is the date when the calendar ends.

But who cares what an ancient civilization thinks? They didn't have any of the scientific knowledge, nor did they have any of the technology that we have now. Why should we be worried? Let's look at this date from a scientific point of view.

First of all, every 11 years our Sun goes through what's called a solar cycle (pole shift, magnetic reversal). During the peak time of the cycle, the Sun's magnetic poles switch. The magnetic field of the Sun does a 180. But remember, this is a 180 degree magnetic flip. The physical part of Sun doesn't actually flip. Anyway, during the peak time of this "flip" sunspots and solar flares become more frequent. This is what's called the "solar maximum".

"Solar flares are pieces of the sun which leap into space, discharging radiation and strong electrical currents that travel outward into space. They often fall back to the surface of the Sun. Sometimes, a very strong flare, called a Coronal Mass Ejection (CME), actually leaves the Sun and this deadly mass shoots out from the Sun towards the planets like a bullet. They usually don't hit anything, but they occasionally hit a planet like Earth. Most flares are small, but even a small flares can be dangerous. In 1989 a flare hit the North American continent and fried electric lines, zapped power grids in the US and Canada, and created large power blackouts. Flares can also effect our moods and physical health. In theory, a large flare impacting the Earth could zap the ionosphere and irradiate the surface, killing every living organism that it touched."
During early 2001, the Sun's solar cycle was completed and the Sun switched magnetic poles, so the Sun is due for another cycle in the year 2012.

Well, who cares if the Sun flips again? it flips every 11 years so why should the next flip be any different?

The solar cycle of 2012 is more significant than any other for several reasons:
1. During this time the two biggest planets in our solar system, Saturn and Jupiter, will be in line with each other. The gravitational effects of the two planets on the Sun will cause it to wobble during it's pole shift. This can have huge effects on the magnitude of the CME's the Sun will be tossing into space. The Earth regularly gets hit with small CME's and research says that the increased magnitude of these CME's are one of the major causes of global warming, and changes in the ecosystem.

2. Right now the Sun's south magnetic pole is in line with the Earth's north magnetic pole. Since opposites attract, the Sun, along with it's gravitational influence from Saturn and Jupiter, may cause the Earth to switch magnetic poles too! With the magnetic field of the Earth switching in a matter of minutes, there can be huge disruptions in the Earth's geological and ecological system. It can cause mass earthquakes and volcano eruptions all over the world. After it's all done, compasses will point South, the Sun will rise in the West and set in the East. But remember, this is a magnetic switch only.

3. The most far fetched possibility and probably the most catastrophic is the phenomenon called "polar wander". Polar wander is a result of the Earth's outer crust shifting at a rapid rate. The magnetic poles stay put but Antarctica becomes the equator and the tropics become the North Pole. I really don't have to stress why a polar wander could be catastrophic because if you picture a phenomenon like this happening in a matter of minutes, you can understand why. There is evidence of a polar wander occurring before in the distant past due to the fossils of Coral in Greenland and Woolly Mammoth bones found in Central America. Of course, in order for a polar wander to occur, it would take a huge amount of imbalance, like an asteroid collision, in the Earth to trigger it.

4. The final event that will occur on December 21, 2012 will be at 11:12 GMT. It's a phenomenon that the Mayans referred to as the "Sacred Tree" and it happens every 25,800 years. At that time our Sun will line up directly with the center of the Milky Way Galaxy. For thousands of years, our solar system has been hovering around the top of the galactic plane and this galactic alignment could have huge effects on our solar system.

"The ecliptic cross over the Milky Way at a 60 degree angle near the constellation Sagittarius. As such, it forms a cross with the Milky Way, and this cosmic cross was called the Sacred Tree by the ancient Maya. (The cross form was also known as the "crossroads." Amazingly, the center of this cosmic cross, that is right where the ecliptic crosses over the Milky Way is exactly where the December solstice sun will be in A.D. 2012. This alignment occurs only once every 25,800 years."

There is supposedly a black hole in the middle of the Milky Way holding everything together. Our solar system is around the outer edge of the disc. When our solar system lines up with center of the galaxy, we will be at the strongest part of the galaxy's magnetic field where there is maximum gravitation. So, with the Sun's solar cycle being at it's maximum, the alignment of Saturn and Jupiter, and the alignment of the sun with the equator of the Milky Way, this will REALLY cause an increase in the magnitude of the Sun's solar flares. Of course the gravitational complexities will also have an influence on whether or not the Earth will undergo a magnetic pole shift. There is also speculation that the Earth may reverse its rotation since we'll be in the opposite hemisphere of the galaxy!

There are a lot of questions that will be answered in the year 2012. Although the Mayan calendar has a mystery on a specific date, some of the scientific complexities will gradually become observable. Depletion of the ozone, increase in volcanic activity, and changes in weather patterns are all natural results of some of the events explained. However, whether or not the Mayans had some sort of insight into the future will remain a mystery.

Dear Sun-Moon Dance Family,

I hope that everyone has had a good year and received many blessings as a result of your effort in last years dance. Winter is ending and it’s time to set the intention…to start the movement of energy that leads us into a new cycle.

The Sun-Moon Dance to the Living Tree in Charles Town West Virginia will be held on the first weekend of August…from Friday August 1st to Monday August 4th.

Coming out of last years dance and moving forward…spirit speaks to the need for a return to the origin of this dance. A “back to basics” approach…that honors the vision, songs and example given us by Joseph Rael.

What I learned from Beautiful Painted Arrow was that the unfolding of our authentic self is determined by our willingness to break the forms of a self-important ego…and that self importance is the master of disguise. We dance to shed the masks we hide behind and return to authenticity. All we can do is show up and dance.

This Sacred Law of Movement and Balance can heal you. Yet, understand that it’s course is like a tight wire. One that is plenty easy to travel if traveled patiently.One that is dangerous to those who seek to speed along

There is a practice known among Original Peoples that is key to balance. It is observation. It is attunement with nature.To understand the world around you, you must feel every facet:From the Little Crawling One to the Great Flying One, from the inner movements of things to the Wind that blows, the human mind is capable of all of these perceptions.The Human heart is able to understand the way that things flow. You must use your talents and perception before you act so foolishly. Know the Truth before you act. The Heart is where this storehouse of perception and understanding lies. It clears the Mind. It calls the Spirit. So when you call upon the Whale People, call to us through your Song. For we are in tune with all Song upon this planet. Our Mind and our Heart are there when anyone sings a Sacred Song. The Whale People have guarded the secrets for Human Being. For we are older brothers and sisters to you. Our song will awaken your memories and will bring healing to you. If you can remember the whale song, then try to sing with us. If you desire a healing from Our Nation, then sing your songs for four days. And we will be able to come to you and give you Wisdom through the Ways of Water. We will heal your Hearts. The third gift is the Gift of Action, Love is action. Touch your world with joy and with gentleness. Your touch is ahealing balm to all of the Relations.

The fifth gift is the Gift of Creation. It is the Wellspring of your knowledge. It is that Creative River called imagination and the power to bring forth life.

The sixth gift is the Gift of Sacrifice, the gift of giving away to one another. And, in death, you will be reborn to New Life. Lay down your will that Universe may prosper. Find your Will as the Universe unfolds.

The seventh gift is the Gift of Your Connection to Creator, the Gift of Holy thought, being and feeling. It is the gift of Starry Nature. Nourish your connection to your Soul Star. Lifewill then be truly abundant.

This is an appeal for help for the dear souls at The Church of The Tipi Wakan in Cannon Ball North Dakota for help restoring a much needed basic necessity.

Dear Relatives - Many of you know that Thunder and Blue Star always help a group from Cannonball, ND. What many don't know (including me, just learned this tonight), is that Jackie and Boots Partin are not supported by any church group and that they are in 24/7 service using just their retirement funds. They are active "ministers" helping literally hundreds of people meet very basic needs and have been doing this for years. Today Jackie sent out an email asking for prayers... she was reluctant to ask for more because so many are experiencing hard times nowadays, but they also need money. Please read her email below - these are pretty dire circumstances and in the bitter winter of ND. Any help you can give would make such an enormous difference in the lives of so many. This is the real deal folks... I can vouch for that. Thanking you in advance for helping to make running water a reality and fast! Hugs, Gaby.

Dear Ones,
It is below zero and we are have a plumbing problem. The propane truck ran over our septic drain field and crushed it. We are unable to use the toilets in the church...a real problem on Sunday when 50 kids are here and are doing our best to conserve on water usage all together. Yesterday I had to wash (behind for two weeks) so we had to run a hose out our back door to drain the washer. Like I said it is below zero here and made the house just a little cold.

This is where the prayers are needed. We have made an application for a grant to fix the system but we have not heard from them. Please pray that they will accept and approve our grant application. We need about $6,500 to fix the septic system correctly. It was jerry-rigged initially. This summer we are expecting 50 or more children four days a week for activities and food. We need this system quickly. Please pray. I know together with as Charles Chipps says "one mind" we can create this answer to this need.

8,000 Drums Ceremony March 21

Wherever you may be, the 8,000 Drums Ceremony will take place at noon, March 21 Mexico City time. Join in for a moment, even if it's only for a moment. If you don't have a drum, clap your hands! Translating the time is a little tricky this year if you want to drum synchronistically, as the United States started Daylight-Savings Time March 9, while Mexico doesn't switch until the first Sunday in April.
But noon Mexico City time in Central Time is noon in Central Time in the United States. So, noon Mexico City time would be 1 p.m. Central Time, 2 p.m. Eastern Time, etc., in the U.S.
You might want to forward this message to your friends so they will have the time right, if they are interested, as I know there's a lot of confusion over it. To my way of thinking, synchronistic observances are fine, but all Spirit work is done in All-Time, No-Time. Time is really a circle. There really is no "time" but now (you can read more about this in my books, in describing the power of ceremony). So, if you want to drum when Spirit moves you, to my way of thinking, that is just fine. Set your intent to join with the 8,000 drums when you sit down to drum, either alone or in a group.
The ceremony is held each year, to fulfill the 500-year-old Otomi Prophecy, written on the wall of a sacred cave in Mexico that "When 8000 sacred drums play together, an intense healing of Mother Earth will commence."
The word went out from Elders of the Otomi Nation in 1995, people from all over the world responded.This prophecy was written on a rock within a sacred cave of Mexico over 500 years ago, which only the high priests had access to. In 1995, the current high priest felt it was the appointed time in history and so he alerted the Otomi Elders who went about making preparations for the ceremony. In order for the Otomi Elders to ensure that the prophecy was properly fulfilled, they put out a worldwide call and volunteers registered with the organizers to make sure they would have a minimum of 8000 people drumming on the appointed day. When this blanket call to the world was sent out by the Otomi Nation of People in Mexico, we began drumming with them as a private, personal ceremony here in Lena and have done so each year since.

Recently there has been a lot of controversy on a video featuring
Tom Cruise speaking on Scientology. I am not a Scientologist, but
in Tom Cruise's video at approximately the 2 minute mark and the
1 minute mark before the end of the video, he makes two statements that,
no matter what your belief system, I feel ring true for all of us at this time:

2 minute : "There is no more time for 'spectator-ism'."

1 minute: "I want to know that I have done everything that I could, everyday."

I feel this is a reminder to all light workers of all paths, that we are here for a reason, and we are needed.

Malachi 3:3 says; 'He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver.'
This verse puzzled some women in a Bible study and they wondered what this statement meant about the character and nature of God. One of the women offered to find out the process of refining silver and get back to the group at their next Bible Study.

That week, the woman called a silversmith and made an appointment to watch him at work. She didn't mention anything about the reason for her interest beyond her curiosity
about the process of refining Silver.
As she watched the silversmith, he held a piece of silver over the fire and let it heat up. He explained that in refining silver, one needed to hold the silver in the middle of the fire where the flames were hottest as to burn away all the impurities.
The woman thought about God holding us in such a hot spot; then she thought again about the verse that says: 'He sits as a refiner and purifier of silver.' She asked the silversmith if it
was true that he had to sit there in front of the fire the whole time.
The man answered that yes, he not only had to sit there holding the silver, but he had to keep his eyes on the silver the entire time it was in the fire. If the silver was left a moment too long in the flames, it would be destroyed.
The woman was silent for a moment. Then she asked the silversmith, 'How do you know when the silver is fully refined?' He smiled at her and answered, 'Oh, that's easy -- when I see my image in it.' If today you are feeling the heat of the fire , remember that God has his eye on you and will keep watching you until He sees His image in you.
Pass this on right now. This very moment, someone needs to know that God is watching over them.
And, whatever they're going through, they'll be a better person in the end.

Please pray for Natalie, a little girl who just turned 10 and found out last week that she has kidney cancer that has spread to her lungs. She will have her kidney removed tomorrow, Monday the 14th.
Please also pray for Tara age 6, whose 12 yr old brother Brendan, died last May of leukemia, she now has a recurrence of the neuroblastoma that she was diagnosed with at age two. Tara, was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma when she was two years old. She went through chemo and two transplants. Last week Tara went for a routine exam of her kidney. They saw something on her liver which led to a CT scan this week. The scan showed three or four tumors. Tara will be admitted to Fairfax Hospital on Monday for a liver biopsy, bone marrow biopsy and bone scan. Pray for her parents and family for their strength and peace during this trying time.
And for healing for Anna, she is 12 years old with cancer..
Also, for healing from cancer that is spreading for Mary Jane and Maureen and for their families. Give them the strength Lord to fight this fight – spiritually, emotionally and physically.
For continued healing for Anne S. and Doug C. from leukemia, and thanksgiving for the healing they have been given.
For healing of Alzheimer’s for Lee’s husband, for Richard, for Aleene, and for Joe.
For Elizabeth and Tammy and Jim and Roy and for a special intention.

Dear Friends,
We did it!!!! Another successful holiday project of helping
The children and elders of the Standing Rock Reservation in
Cannonball, ND. Thanks to so many generous donations,
And many helping hands, we shipped over 900 lbs from
Angel Hill House in Leesburg.
900 lbs of holiday gifts, warm clothing and other goodies
and necessities. Additionally, many of you did direct
shipping to the church in Cannonball of blankets, hats,
gloves, clothing, toiletries, craft supplies and toys.
All arrived in good shape! Which is amazing considering
That the 30 boxes shipped from Leesburg were on the train
That derailed in Indiana a few days before Christmas.
While our 30 boxes did not arrive until after Christmas,
Everything arrived in good order, and was much
needed and appreciated. Pastor Boots even took some
needed items to 2 nearby small communities to share since
they did not have anyone supporting them for the holidays.
So our holiday spirits and joy, were spread far and wide.
The boxes being on the train that wrecked was actually a
Blessing in disguise as for the first year every single box
Arrived in ND. (Usually 2 or 3 boxes seem to ‘fall off the truck’
Somewhere along the way).
Thank you so much to each and every one of you that
Blessed us with your love and support of this amazing
Project this year. Every gift, every donation, every
Prayer and every helping hand came together to once
again bring blessings into the lives of so many.

THE PLAN:Have a small fire or place a candle in the center of where we are chanting. Also, we are to place a container of water in the center. The water will gather the vibrations we create. Once our chanting is complete, we may drink some of the water which will infuse us with the vibrations from the chanting. In addition, please pour some of the water into a larger body of water. People can take some water with them and place it in lakes, creeks, ponds, oceans as they leave the ceremony or shortly thereafter.
Peace begins within each of us and we will be purifying ourselves as we chant in the time of Light Returning to the Planet. Our intentions spread out into the world when we chant; therefore, it is important for us to hold happy, joyful, loving memories and thoughts as we chant this year. This is not a time to be serious, but a time to play and be joyful!!
We will be chanting the vowel sounds, A(ah) in the East, E(eh) in the South, I(e) in the West, O(o) in the North, U(oo) in the Center for 10 minutes in each direction. The last 10 minutes of our time will be spent in silent meditation, letting information/visions come to us. At the end of the hour, please have those in the group who wish to share what came to them during the chanting and meditation. WASHINGTON (Dec. 11) - An already relentless melting of the Arctic greatly accelerated this summer, a warning sign that some scientists worry could mean global warming has passed an ominous tipping point. One even speculated that summer sea ice would be gone in five years.Greenland's ice sheet melted nearly 19 billion tons more than the previous high mark, and the volume of Arctic sea ice at summer's end was half what it was just four years earlier, according to new NASA satellite data obtained by The Associated Press.

"The Arctic is screaming," said Mark Serreze, senior scientist at the government's snow and ice data center in Boulder, Colo.Just last year, two top scientists surprised their colleagues by projecting that the Arctic sea ice was melting so rapidly that it could disappear entirely by the summer of 2040.This week, after reviewing his own new data, NASA climate scientist Jay Zwally said: "At this rate, the Arctic Ocean could be nearly ice-free at the end of summer by 2012, much faster than previous predictions."So scientists in recent days have been asking themselves these questions: Was the record melt seen all over the Arctic in 2007 a blip amid relentless and steady warming? Or has everything sped up to a new climate cycle that goes beyond the worst case scenarios presented by computer models?"The Arctic is often cited as the canary in the coal mine for climate warming," said Zwally, who as a teenager hauled coal. "Now as a sign of climate warming, the canary has died. It is time to start getting out of the coal mines."It is the burning of coal, oil and other fossil fuels that produces carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases, responsible for man-made global warming. For the past several days, government diplomats have been debating in Bali, Indonesia, the outlines of a new climate treaty calling for tougher limits on these gases.What happens in the Arctic has implications for the rest of the world. Faster melting there means eventual sea level rise and more immediate changes in winter weather because of less sea ice.In the United States, a weakened Arctic blast moving south to collide with moist air from the Gulf of Mexico can mean less rain and snow in some areas, including the drought-stricken Southeast, said Michael MacCracken, a former federal climate scientist who now heads the nonprofit Climate Institute. Some regions, like Colorado, would likely get extra rain or snow.More than 18 scientists told the AP that they were surprised by the level of ice melt this year."I don't pay much attention to one year ... but this year the change is so big, particularly in the Arctic sea ice, that you've got to stop and say, 'What is going on here?' You can't look away from what's happening here," said Waleed Abdalati, NASA's chief of cyrospheric sciences. "This is going to be a watershed year."2007 shattered records for Arctic melt in the following ways:• 552 billion tons of ice melted this summer from the Greenland ice sheet, according to preliminary satellite data to be released by NASA Wednesday. That's 15 percent more than the annual average summer melt, beating 2005's record.• A record amount of surface ice was lost over Greenland this year, 12 percent more than the previous worst year, 2005, according to data the University of Colorado released Monday. That's nearly quadruple the amount that melted just 15 years ago. It's an amount of water that could cover Washington, D.C., a half-mile deep, researchers calculated.• The surface area of summer sea ice floating in the Arctic Ocean this summer was nearly 23 percent below the previous record. The dwindling sea ice already has affected wildlife, with 6,000 walruses coming ashore in northwest Alaska in October for the first time in recorded history. Another first: the Northwest Passage was open to navigation.• Still to be released is NASA data showing the remaining Arctic sea ice to be unusually thin, another record. That makes it more likely to melt in future summers. Combining the shrinking area covered by sea ice with the new thinness of the remaining ice, scientists calculate that the overall volume of ice is half of 2004's total.• Alaska's frozen permafrost is warming, not quite thawing yet. But temperature measurements 66 feet deep in the frozen soil rose nearly four-tenths of a degree from 2006 to 2007, according to measurements from the University of Alaska. While that may not sound like much, "it's very significant," said University of Alaska professor Vladimir Romanovsky.- Surface temperatures in the Arctic Ocean this summer were the highest in 77 years of record-keeping, with some places 8 degrees Fahrenheit above normal, according to research to be released Wednesday by University of Washington's Michael Steele.Greenland, in particular, is a significant bellwether. Most of its surface is covered by ice. If it completely melted — something key scientists think would likely take centuries, not decades — it could add more than 22 feet to the world's sea level.However, for nearly the past 30 years, the data pattern of its ice sheet melt has zigzagged. A bad year, like 2005, would be followed by a couple of lesser years.According to that pattern, 2007 shouldn't have been a major melt year, but it was, said Konrad Steffen, of the University of Colorado, which gathered the latest data."I'm quite concerned," he said. "Now I look at 2008. Will it be even warmer than the past year?"Other new data, from a NASA satellite, measures ice volume. NASA geophysicist Scott Luthcke, reviewing it and other Greenland numbers, concluded: "We are quite likely entering a new regime."Melting of sea ice and Greenland's ice sheets also alarms scientists because they become part of a troubling spiral.White sea ice reflects about 80 percent of the sun's heat off Earth, NASA's Zwally said. When there is no sea ice, about 90 percent of the heat goes into the ocean which then warms everything else up. Warmer oceans then lead to more melting."That feedback is the key to why the models predict that the Arctic warming is going to be faster," Zwally said. "It's getting even worse than the models predicted."NASA scientist James Hansen, the lone-wolf researcher often called the godfather of global warming, on Thursday was to tell scientists and others at the American Geophysical Union scientific in San Francisco that in some ways Earth has hit one of his so-called tipping points, based on Greenland melt data."We have passed that and some other tipping points in the way that I will define them," Hansen said in an e-mail. "We have not passed a point of no return. We can still roll things back in time — but it is going to require a quick turn in direction."Last year, Cecilia Bitz at the University of Washington and Marika Holland at the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Colorado startled their colleagues when they predicted an Arctic free of sea ice in just a few decades. Both say they are surprised by the dramatic melt of 2007.

About the Standing Rock Reservation

Lately several people have asked me for more information about what
we are doing for the Standing Rock Reservation, and I realized
that while I have told the story many times over the years, not
everyone has heard all of what we are doing and why, so I wanted to give you a little background about our
8th Annual Holiday Project, and
who we are helping.

Who: The Children and Elders of The Standing Rock Reservation
What: The Standing Rock Reservation is one of the smallest, poorest, and
most remote of all the Sioux/Lakota reservations
Where: Cannon Ball North Dakota, about 50 miles outside of Bismark, ND
How: Thru the Church of The Tipi Wakan (House of Blessings) and Rev.
Boots Marsh and his wife Jackie Partin
Why: ? The 'why' is not a one reason, but multitudes of reasons, people,
and lives that we touch.

* * * * * * * *
Before the first Christmas project we did with Standing Rock, I had asked what the children might want, we got back a list asking for socks, underwear, shampoo, toothpaste and similar basic necessities. There was only one 'toy' request, and that was for a jigsaw puzzle.

This list was not put together by adults, but by children, asking for what they wanted to get for Christmas. I cried when I read the long list of requests for such simple things, like a bar of soap, that we tend to take for granted.

Over the years of talking with Pastor Boots, I have learned other
heartbreaking stories. Of the grandmother that took in her two
teenage granddaughters to live with her and they had one sweater
between the three of them to share for the cold brutal winter temperatures
in North Dakota. Of hand me down clothes worn until they are thread
bare. Of hand me down shoes with the toes cut out so they can still be
worn after the child has outgrown them. Children wearing clothes that
they have long outgrown, holding the waist of their jeans together with
a piece of rope, because they don't have proper size clothes.
Families crowded together in small homes because of the high incidence of house
fires due to numerous house fires that are caused from heating homes by burning wood in oil drums to heat the house. Elders in their 70's, 80's, and 90's
with no bed or no blanket, wearing everything they own to keep warm and
sleeping on the bare floor or a mat on the floor.

The list of reasons goes on and on. It is hard to imagine in this day and
age in America, that we have fellow human beings and citizens living in
conditions that could be considered appalling even by third world standards.

There are no large communities or cities near the Standing Rock Reservation,
and no social infrastructure to help this small community.
Mary Thunder has gathered people from around the US to help support
Rev. Boots and Jackie and their work on this tiny reservation. We are helping
them to make a difference in a community with 80% unemployment, where hope
is hard to come by.
People of Standing Rock now see Church of Tipi Wakan as a community
friend, neighbor and resource. When the reservation's supply of water ran
dry, Tipi Wakan helped get water for the reservation. They are helping the
elders, the children, and everyone of every age. Teens that have been in
gangs have come to help out at the church.

When you consider what a donation of $10, $20, $50, $100 can do, and how
it can help, it is a very small thing that can make a big impact to a person
and to a community.

Please consider supporting this project. This is our last week of
collecting donations and supplies as we have begun wrapping gifts,
and next week with finish up with packing the boxes and preparing
them for UPS shipping. While $750 for UPS sounds like a lot of
money, it is less than $5 per child/elder for what we are shipping out.
Divided up that way, you can see it is really not so high as it may seem.
We are also sending out candy, sugar free candy, organic nuts, dried
fruits, coffee and teas. We also have a large supply of heavy fleece
blankets being sent out again this year. Lots of warm clothing, sweaters,
Jackets, pants, and of course Santa's favorites, toys, games, craft kits and
supplies.
When we put our numerous helping hands together, we make the work
light and joyous, and we send that energy, along with our gifts, out to
Tipi Wakan.

2 ~ IF THERE IS ICE (snow and possible ice predicted for Sunday daytime) the Lodge might have to be canceled.....(Snow is OK, but not ICE on our steep hills) If in doubt please call us at after 11 AM703-771-7811, 703-728-6553or 703-969-4365 (Joanie)We live on a steep hill, and the lodge is at the highest point in the back yard, if there is ice, we don't want to take a chance on anyone getting hurt on the driveway or walking in the yard
For the colder weather remember to wear warm shoes that are easy to
slip on and off. Bring an extra large towel to wrap around you for before and after the lodge.
So far for the shared feast afterwards we have on the menu:
16 bean soup, corn bread, hot apple cider, chocolate chip cookies

WHAT DO YOU NEED FOR THE SWEAT?
sweat clothes (cotton dress, or skirt and shirt over a bathing suit for women, and shorts or swim trunks and t-shirt for men
1 to 2 towels per person
change of clothes for after sweat (bring a jacket for cool weather)
covered dish for shared feast after the sweat (main dish, side dish, rolls, desserts, drinks, salads)
prayer tie materials (clothe, tobacco, string, scissors) (we will have some extra materials available if you would prefer to use these. Please consider offering a $5 donation to cover cost of prayer ties supplies)
$30 donation (requested: $25 for the lodge teaching to Rev. Lakota Hasie, and $5 for a fund for materials, stones, firewood, etc. )
a signed release form (provided at the lodge)

Other notes:
address: 129 Governors Drive, Leesburg, VA 20175(just off of Rt. 15 at the bypass and the Greenway toll road in Leesburg)
Our house has a purple mailbox (imagine that!) about the 15th house on the left after you turn onto Governors Drive from Rt. 15
Plenty of on street parking
We have a very steep driveway so unless you have something very heavy with you, don't try to drive up the driveway (backing down is scary).
there are wooden steps from the driveway directly to the back yard and the barn. (the steps can be a bit wobbly so use caution)
the door off of the back patio comes directly into the kitchen (2 dog hooks are on the door frame)
PLEASE NOTE: Cats may go in and out, BUT THE DOGS MUST BE TIED ON THEIR RUNS TO GO OUTSIDE - THEY CANNOT RUN LOOSE.
We do have cats and dogs, so take any needed allergy medications before you arrive.
there are 2 bathrooms in the house, 1 upstairs by the kitchen in the hallway, and one downstairs inside the 'reading' room or spirit room
